談起愛狗太空(Astro)，光芒普萊斯(David Price)的語氣中滿是寵溺，他到底有多愛這隻可愛的法國鬥牛犬？為了幫太空的公仔娃娃遮風擋雨，他竟用塑膠杯做了間狗屋。
光芒本季曾推出普萊斯的公仔日，不管走到哪兒都喜歡帶著太空一起同行的他，主動要求應該再多加隻太空公仔，也讓太空可能成為大聯盟第一隻有為自己量身打造公仔的明星寵物。
普萊斯拿到太空公仔後，俏皮的在主場板凳區上方的屋頂放上一隻，他說：「他是個幸運物」，儼然坐陣光芒陣營的勝利之神，但本周五比賽下起了一陣雨，怎麼能讓太空淋雨呢！於是，普萊斯想出了辦法。
轉播鏡頭捕捉到這段可愛的畫面，普萊斯用飲料機旁的塑膠杯做起狗屋，他先剪出一個小洞當成狗屋門，再將杯子罩在太空公仔上，他細心將杯子內的太空調整好位置，避免他被雨淋濕。
普萊斯解釋：「我希望太空可以幫助我們今年再贏回超過25勝，所以千萬不能讓牠感冒了！」
普萊斯總是習慣帶著太空「趴趴走」，光芒的純品康納球場就是牠最常奔馳的綠地，也會乖乖跟在普萊斯的腳邊，甚至連高層辦公室都闖過，普萊斯也時常在推特上分享太空的生活照。
太空的名字由來也很有意思，普萊斯本身是卡通「摩登家族(The Jetsons) 」忠實影迷，裡頭的狗就叫做太空。說起太空的重要性，普萊斯說：「我很喜歡每天回家時，知道會有個人很高興看到我的感覺。」
